Course Description

Annual refresher training is required for all miners. Training must be completed in the same month as was done the previous year.

Course Outline

Class will consist of but not be limited to the following topics:

• Mandatory Health and Safety Standards
• Transportation, Controls and Communication Systems
• Escape and Emergency Evacuation; fire warning & fire fighting
• Ground Control: working areas of high walls, water hazards, pits and spoil banks, illumination and night work
• First Aid
• Electrical Hazards
• Prevention of Accidents
• Health
• Explosives
• Self-Rescue and Respiratory Devices
